School starts in two weeks.
We have run the gamut of plans from all of them going back full-time, part-time, some-time, no-time.
Like everyone else, we are floundering.
My three oldest were set to go back until I learned that they would be attending school in “learning pods” on their chromebooks with a “Learning Coach” to supervise. If they had any difficulty they could make an appointment with their teacher.
Mic drop, record scratch.
Um. No.
I can see how this would be necessary with two working parents. It could also be important for kids who need extra help with their work. Or kids who need school for food.
My kids don’t fit into those categories.
Remote learning is an option for our district, but not an option for me.
If I am going to be supervising the work, I am going to be assigning it.
I feel like last year’s homeschooling of kindergarten was like the warm-up before the game. It’s been a while, but homeschooling multiple kids is like riding a bike, right? It’s a mixture of dread and horror and then you fall on your face?
